Historic Vaughan Woods Presentation and Walking Tour of the Vaughan Woods

Lloyd will give a presentation on the history of Maine forests in relation to Vaughan Woods at the Vaughan Homestead and then lead folks on a walking tour of the Vaughan Woods. Feel free to just attend the presentation if walking is not comfortable for you!

  2. You Hallowell folks may not realize the interest in Vaughan Estate/Woods/Farm that we in Charleston, ME (20+ miles north of Bangor) have in The Vaughan history. CHARLES Vaughan founded our town (hence CHARLESton) late 1700’s. His dad Samuel’s relationship tto George Washington & Mt Vernon & Ben Franklin we history buffs find exciting.
