Full details and online registration for the 33rd Old Hallowell Day 5K now available at RunReg.com!
Online Registration Closes on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 12:00 NOON ET
This year’s race will be chip timed! After several years of runners asking for this we are now able to join the ranks of other races that are chip timed!
Race follows city streets and areas of historic Hallowell. Start is flat and begins near the Cotton Mill Apartments on Water Street. The course proceeds up Water Street to Park Street where runners will turn left. At Second Street the runners turn left and proceed to the end of the street (which is at Litchfield Road). Then turning right, the course proceeds uphill to Middle Street. From this end of Middle the course is mostly downhill and continues the full length of Middle ending in Vaughan Field where the awards will also be held. Click here for a map of the course, it will be 3.1 miles not the 3.09 shown!
T-shirts are guaranteed for anyone registering by July 1st!
Pictures from the 2011 Road Race available here.

Hallowell’s Kate McKee (11) and Anne McKee (13) teamed up with their their cousin Robbie McKee (10) of Wayne for the OHD Road Race in tee-shirts they designed for the event. Anne won her age category and was the second female finisher overall; Kate and Robbie finished strong! They look forward to being contenders in OHD 2012!

Any more info on the kids’ fun run? Time? Place? Fee?
The kids fun run will happen right after the last runner for the 5K finishes. It will be held on Vaughan Field and will be less than one mile….not officially measured yet, but I am guessing about 1K in distance. Kids 10 and under are invited to participate and all finishes (up to 100) will receive a neat race ribbon! There is no entry fee and no entry process, just line up and run. The awards for the 5K will follow the kids fun run.
