Harlow Gallery seeks art inspired by Hallowell

Preliminary Call for Artists

open to members of the Kennebec Valley Art Association only*

Our Summer Member’s Show has a very definite theme this year, because  2012 marks the 250th anniversary of our hometown of Hallowell, Maine!

Art work must depict or be inspired by the city of Hallowell, its people or its history to be included in this exhibition.   Fine art in any media welcome.   The exhibition will run from July 6-28, 2012 and will be on view for a very special Old Hallowell Day and town-wide 250th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, July 14, 2012.  This will not be an art show and sale — work will remain on view for the duration of the exhibition. Each member may submit one work of art and it will be included in the show assuming it is in keeping with the theme, and adheres to the usual requirements for members shows (regarding framing and etc.) – EXCEPT – we are waiving the size limitation for this show only, and you may show older work if you have something perfect for the theme.

* Artists may join anytime to be eligible, including the day they deliver work for this show.
