Hills & Thrills: Ride the Rolling Hills of Hallowell

The second annual Old Hallowell Day bike ride will soon be here. The weather at is looking great – sunny and in the 80’s – near perfect weather for riding.

The routes have been posted on the registration site http://www.bikereg.com/2016ohdcycle.  The main (recreational) route runs about 24 miles around the rolling hills of Hallowell and neighboring communities. For those that want more of a challenge, we’ve added some hilly detours which increase the ride to about 26 miles.  Those are outlined in the second “Hilly” map.  Either way, the ride promises to be a lot of fun.

We’ve had some questions around the registration fee.  The ride revenues go toward the expenses of the ride and Old Hallowell Day, which is a non-profit (501c).  They are primarily used to defray the cost of the event – road signs, marketing posters, and the complimentary t-shirts that every rider receives.

Please register if you haven’t already.
